GREENWATER CHARTERS
Captain
Duber Winters
Captain Duber Winters has been a licensed professional fishing guide
since 1998. A true student of the sport, Duber immersed himself in
the world of fishing when he was a young boy and never looked back.
Known for his likeable personality and easy going demeanor, this
fishing guide has a keen sense for understanding how to convey
fishing techniques to anglers of all levels. Spinning rods, bait
casting rigs, live baiting and fly fishing alike Duber is
knowledgable of the various approaches used by today's anglers.
While serving on the Pro-Staff for various sponsors over the years,
Duber has worked the largest fishing trade shows on the East Coast.
His affiliation with the industry and its key players is
multi-layered. These connections are a direct benefit to his
customers in that they are utilizing the finest tackle and equipment
as well as the hottest lures, plugs and flies as well.

Captain Ray Winters
Knowing where to go and
how to present the right bait is the key to fishing success and
Captain Ray spends all of his time working toward this end. Tide,
flow, water temperature, weather, time of day, habits of the fish,
habits of the baitfish and general water conditions all have a
significant effect on successful fishing. Captain Ray is working
every day to gather the information necessary to provide the best
possible fishing trip. With miles and miles of shoreline and
thousands of structure and contour changes the possibilities can be
endless. Your guide is there to evaluate all of the options and use
his experience and knowledge to put you on fish.
All of this, of course, is behind the scenes as the purpose of the
trip is to catch fish and have fun. Ray as been known to say, "Most
things that are this much fun are usually against the law". Whether
Snook, Jacks, Mackerel, Trout or Little Tunny, feeding fish can
always bring out the smiles and get the adrenalin flowing.
Fishing Charters
We will meet you at a
convenient dock in the Stuart area where up to three individuals per
boat will begin preparations for the trip. We will head off to the
best locations for the fish being targeted in the St. Lucie River,
Indian River Lagoon, the beaches off Hutchinson Island or (when
conditions allow) out to deeper water where the palegics roam. This
is not an "anchor and wait" charter as we work the trolling motor
for the right positioning to cover the area for best fishing results.
Everyone has a different
experience level and both seasoned anglers and the occasional
fisherman is provided with appropriate opportunity, equipment and
necessary instruction. We organize the trip to the customer in order
to provide the most enjoyable outing.
